AGS can support the management team according to the difficulties encountered. In the case of judicial reorganisation, for example, the business may continue operating and if there is insufficient cash flow to pay wages, AGS can take over and ensure payment.
Throughout the life of a company, difficult decisions sometimes need to be taken and AGS can help businesses by offering invaluable support to help them through times of crisis. For example, it can finance the restructuring of the company’s workforce and guarantee support measures to help employees find new jobs, thereby assisting their reintegration into the labour market.

Your employer’s contributions also play a role in developing solidarity
A portion of your employer’s contributions are paid to AGS. This is an inter-company solidarity fund that guarantees the payment of wages and other sums due to employees in the event of judicial safeguard, reorganisation or liquidation proceedings, thus providing essential protection for employees and valuable support for companies in difficulty.
Who contributes to this fund?
All private enterprises with at least one employee contribute to this collective effort: retailers, craft and agricultural enterprises, professionals, sole traders, temporary employment agencies and non-profit organisations.
The contribution is collected by Urssaf for the general scheme and by MSA for the agricultural sector
My company has an international presence
What is a cross-border insolvency?
A cross-border, or international, insolvency occurs when a company in difficulty has assets, creditors or activities located in several countries. This raises complex questions about the competent jurisdiction to deal with the insolvency, the applicable law and the recognition of court rulings in different States.
AGS thus offers specific support whether your company is based abroad and employs staff in France, or is French and employs staff abroad.
